Public Relations Campaign Hits Nottingham, Derby and Leicester

Nellie PR has been signed up by creative masterminds burntprogress.com to promote CDR East Midlands throughout 2009.

CDR is bringing together a community of digital music makers of all styles to network and collaborate across the region. The East Midlands events are based on burntprogress’s CDR night at London’s Plastic People – twice nominated ‘Best Club’ on Radio 1’s Worldwide Awards.

Public relations activities covering Nottingham, Derby and Leicester will involve a highly targeted campaign focusing on media relations, social networking and online PR. They will spread the word about the free CDR events that will be hitting the East Midlands over the coming months.

CDR gives a platform for electronic music makers of all kinds to showcase their talent to their peers in a club environment. People can along to free the events and hand in their CDs, to get their tracks played live and loud to an audience of like-minded music makers. They can then network and plan future collaborations. The two-year project, now in its second year, is supported by Arts Council England.

burntprogress is a creative agency set up by Tony Nwachukwu, a former member of the band Attica Blues, who has worked with Macy Grey, UNKLE and Ben folds; and Gavin Alexander, a DJ and award-winning film and documentary producer.
